College Counseling
At Top-Tier Tutoring, we recognize that the decision about where your student will attend college affects everyone in the family in various ways. Therefore, we provide each student and his/her family with personalized service throughout the entire college search procedure. You will receive counseling regarding various aspects of the college search and application process until the appropriate placement is achieved.
The following comprises our college counseling services for students in their Junior and Senior years:

Analyze student’s grades, courses, test results and educational background

Develop short and long term objectives

Evaluate and recommend appropriate course selections

Generate schedule for taking standardized tests

Assess tutoring needs

Appraise academic resume and develop strategies to enhance it

Review summer experiences and opportunities

Create list of appropriate schools and visitation schedule

Discuss approaches to the personal essay, and provide editorial review for the two Common Application essays as well as the five additional college application supplements

Prepare students for the college interview
In addition to the services listed above, the following are supplementary college counseling services available for students in their Freshman and Sophomore years:

Assist with class selection with an eye toward developing an attractive academic course load

Create academic resume and develop strategies to enhance it

Provide guidance in acquiring relevant summer experiences and opportunities

Assess tutoring needs for both class work and PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Program
